Spoilers ahead: for the puzzle and the movies/games
This post assumes you've already solved the puzzle. It reveals all categories and their connections, and discusses plot details, endings, and spoilers for featured movies/games throughout.
The Outfit spends almost its entire night inside a Chicago tailor shop. Mark Rylance measures sleeves, listens carefully, and gives every gangster the dangerous impression that the quiet man near the scissors is harmless.
Movies: Dredd · Skyscraper · High-Rise · The Tower
Peach Trees in Dredd is a 200-story megablock sealed by its criminal ruler. The building is city, prison, and shooting gallery at once. Skyscraper gives Dwayne Johnson a burning Hong Kong tower and the kind of exterior crane access that exists mainly to upset knees in the audience.
High-Rise makes the threat social before it becomes physical. The tower's class divisions rot into open disorder. South Korea's The Tower goes directly at disaster spectacle, trapping a Christmas Eve crowd in a luxury complex after a helicopter crash starts the fire.
Movies: The Outfit · Eastern Promises · The Gentlemen · The Drop
The fronts are almost aggressively respectable: a tailor, a restaurant, English estates, and a Brooklyn bar. Each provides a room where money or information can move while the public sees a normal business carrying on.
The Drop gets special mileage from the late James Gandolfini as a bar owner who understands exactly who owns the place, legally and otherwise. Eastern Promises puts family dining and organized violence uncomfortably close together. Never trust a restaurant whose private-room policy seems to require tattoos.
Movies: The Broken · The Double Life of Véronique · The Man Who Haunted Himself · Dual
Irène Jacob plays Weronika in Poland and Véronique in France, two women who sense a connection without meeting in the ordinary sense. Krzysztof Kieślowski treats the double as a spiritual echo rather than a puzzle with a laboratory answer.
The other films make duplication more hostile. Roger Moore sees another version of himself taking over his life in The Man Who Haunted Himself. Karen Gillan's replacement clone in Dual comes with law, training, and a scheduled fight to the death.
That range is the point. The category is not simply "one actor plays two roles." Each character must face what another self means for identity, ownership, or survival. Your face has become a paperwork problem.
Movies: The First Omen · False Positive · Devil's Due · Antibirth
The shared turn is easy to miss because the threats arrive through different doors. The First Omen brings prophecy and church conspiracy. Devil's Due uses cult ritual and found footage. False Positive makes a fertility clinic feel less medical with every appointment.
Antibirth is the row's wild card. Natasha Lyonne's Lou wakes after a party with symptoms that will not fit a normal pregnancy, then watches the explanation get much worse. Subtlety leaves the room before she does.
The reveal works because all four corrupt an experience already full of bodily uncertainty. Doctors, partners, and institutions keep claiming authority while the person carrying the pregnancy loses control of the story.
The tailor shop was the best pressure cooker here: one room, several guns, perfect hems. Today's PixelLinkr puzzle offers bridges and trains, which at least pretend to follow engineering rules.
