The World's End is a pub-crawl reunion comedy about middle-aged men re-living a school road trip until the alien invasion takes over and nobody goes home the way they arrived. Promising Young Woman is a dark character study with a plan underneath, and the plan turns out to be more violent than the first ninety minutes suggested.
